Essential Functions:- Promote a culture of teamwork appreciation.
- Partner and coordinate with the entire community programming team (DLE, DMC & Coordinators) on Theme planning and bridging programs to provide robust and engaging programs.
- Organize and develop the monthly programming calendar and needed supplies with the Director of Life Enrichment Memory Care.
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate The memory care transitional resident programs.
- Lead 5-6 high quality, innovative programs per day. Incorporate the individuality, diversity, and spirituality of all residents when planning programs and celebrating holiday functions.
- Plan and schedule weekly outings with the Memory Care Life Enrichment Director.
- Utilize and connect with local community resources.
- Develop relationships and connections with residents to encourage resident participation in programs and events.
- Implement and monitor programs and processes to promote excellence in programming while maintaining a high level of resident and family satisfaction.
- Maintain Behavior Expression process.
- Maintain stimulating environment that promotes safety, security, and overall well-being.
- Partner with the Director of Memory Care and Director of Resident Care on Quarterly assessments.
- Partner with the Director of Memory Care on seamless transitions to The Cove Program.
- Ensure all aspects of dining are being met through partnership with the Director of Hospitality.
- In partnership with the Programming team (DLE & DMC) adhere to departmental budget guidelines.
- Complete necessary training and insurance requirements to drive company vehicle.
Non-Essential Functions:- Leads by example exhibiting the CORE Values through servant leadership.
- Encourages teamwork and promotes company philosophy.
- Attends required community meetings.
- Completes all required courses in adherence with state regulations and Relias Learning.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:Level of formal Educations: Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent
education and/or experience; subject to state requirements
Area of Study: Recreation, activities, geriatrics, and dementia care.
Years of Experience: Entry level (1-2 years)
Type of Experience: One to two years' experience working with individuals with
Dementia including leading programs, managing Behavior
expressions, and educating associates and families on Alzheimer's
and dementia. Experience organizing, conducting, and planning
programs and activities for seniors with dementia.
Special Certificates: Dementia training or Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred but
not required.
Language Skills: Proficiency with written and spoken English required.
Skills & Abilities: Strong organizational skills and time management. Experience in planning and organizing people and events. Experience with Behavior Expressions redirection and intervention.
