The Opportunity
A Fortune 500 telecommunications company seeks a Licensing Account Analyst for a long-term, temporary assignment expected to last twelve (12) months, possibly longer. The position is fully remote. The hourly rate is $25 - $33, depending on experience.
Primary Duties
The Licensing Account Analyst plays a key role within the Contract Operations team by interpreting legal contracts and ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance in the JDE Contract Management System (JDE). The Licensing Account Analyst is essential to maintaining billing accuracy, financial compliance (including ASC842), and the integrity of customer account data. Additional duties include the following:
- Review and interpret legal contracts; extract and input relevant data into internal systems including JDE.
- Analyze general ledger and subledger data to ensure accurate billing, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders (via phone, email, or other methods) to explain contract terms and billing outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure billing and data accuracy; escalate issues when appropriate.
- Maintain JDE data in alignment with legal agreements, directly impacting billing accuracy and financial reporting (ASC842).
- Manage recurring monthly processes including revenue escalations, contract terminations, and data integrity reviews.
- Handle special projects and exception accounts outside standard processing workflows.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of JDE system tables, field usage, and data flow between Contract Operations and General Ledger.
- Support Project Management teams by providing clarity on contract terms and JDE billing processes.
- Meet monthly deadlines for financial adjustments and reporting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- One to two years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Experience interpreting legal contracts preferred
- Minimum of two years in a detail-oriented, fast-paced professional environment
