Licensed Vocational Nurse

The Licensed Vocational Nurse at our hospital provides general nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, assisting in care planning, evaluating patient responses, reporting to supervisors, identifying patient problems, and maintaining a safe environment. Minimum requirements include two years of inpatient hospital experience, current state LVN license, and BLS certification. Knowledge of nursing theory, infection prevention, clinical operations, and computer skills are essential. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to bodily fluids, visual acuity, and manual dexterity.
