Mohegan Lake Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our talented team in Lake Mohegan, NY.

Drs. Belvedere and Lavigne have significantly strengthened and enhanced our capabilities, installing a digital x-ray, new surgical monitors, and a new ultrasound machine. We have also recently completed a renovation and expansion of our exam rooms, treatment and reception areas, bathrooms, and in-house pharmacy.
What We Offer:
$23.00 - $28.00 an hour
$2,500 signing bonus, depending on experience

As a member of the clinical team, in addition to traditional vet tech/assistant duties, you will be actively involved in:
Client education and communication
Detailed electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Diagnostics
Reviewing medical records and lab work
Calculating doses for both oral and injectable medications
What We Require:
1-2+ years of veterinary technician experience
Licensure in NYS (or license eligible). If license eligible, experience with anesthesia, dentistry, and dental x-rays required
Anesthesia, surgical and dentistry experience
Availability on alternate Saturdays
Exceptional communication skills (including spelling and grammar) - strong and respectful written and verbal communication skills for both clients and staff
Adaptability - remain flexible while maintaining a positive attitude
Highly organized with acute attention to detail
Good time management and efficiency with ability to prioritize
Reliability - good judgment with ability to work and learn independently, responsibly, and ethically
Resourceful problem-solving skills with active recall
