We are seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses interested in casual/on-call positions to serve seniors with compassionate, supportive care at one of Minnesota's leading nonprofit senior housing and service providers. Casual/On-Call positions require a candidate to commit to working a minimum of two shifts per month (one shift during a weekday and one shift during a weekend) and one holiday per year. We are looking for candidates who have the ability to pick up shifts on short notice when site openings occur. Location Information Saint Threse is a faith-based, nonprofit organization that offers a continuum of care and services available at one of our four Twin Cities communities: Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Woodbury, and our newest site opening in Corcoran in September 2024. Responsibilities Evaluates/assess documents, directs and provides nursing care. Communicates status changes to family members or responsible party. Informs house supervisor and medical provider of changes or needs. Performs all duties consistent with Quality Standards and infection Control practices. Performs all job functions within State and Federal Regulations. Qualifications: Education: Degree obtained from accredited nursing program. Licensed in good standing with the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse. Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience is required; preferably in a skilled nursing facility. Special knowledge, skills and abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulations Strong understanding of and interest in palliative/hospice care Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Working knowledge of personal computers and related software Ability to follow direction of supervisor Proven history of good judgement and integrity High level of commitment to compassionate customer service Professional behavior and attitudes Equal Opportunity Employer: Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, Disabled.
