TITLE: Licensed Practical Nurse
Full time (10-month)
Exceptional Education Department
DUTIES: Perform 1:1 routine nursing service in the care of a student with special needs. Administer medications in accordance with specific instruction. Collect data, perform observations, record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate. Administer prescribed treatment to schools according to New York State Education Department guideline. Assigned to medically fragile student in full day special education classroom at BOCES main campus. Work as part of a classroom team. Some travel on school bus trips bay be required. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: New York State License and current registration to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
START DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY RANGE: $31,000 (2024-25 Base Salary) plus additional salary credit for appropriate experience and/or education. Excellent benefits are available.
