Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Nystrom & Associates, you will play an important role in providing high-quality patient care to our Psychiatry patients. You will work alongside our Psychiatry providers, returning phone calls to patients regarding the side effects of medication; refilling medication to area pharmacies; calling insurance companies for verification on medications, and completing necessary authorizations for medications. There is little to no physical contact with patients in this role as such there are no weekends, evenings, holidays, or on-call hours.

Nystrom & Associates is a team of mental health professionals that specialize in psychiatric evaluations, clinical social work, and family therapy. We are committed to helping patients in our community who are experiencing personal, emotional, marriage, family, or psychological problems. Founded in 1991, we offer an intensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment program, psychological testing, and behavioral health and medication management services.

Responsibilities include:
  • Triaging calls from patients
  • Taking calls for lab results
  • Triages incoming lab results, medical reports, refill requests, etc. to MD/APRN/PAs in a timely fashion
  • Maintains legible and organized patient records

Requirements:
  • Unrestricted MN nursing license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Comfortable with little to no physical patient contact on a day-to-day basis
  • Experience with mental health care preferred, Knowledgeable about psychotropic medications
  • Computer and tech-savvy; experience with Electronic Medical Records

Hours:

General daytime hours, Monday through Friday 9 AM - 5:30 PM. Consistent schedule and no weekends.
