Licensed Practical Nurse 3

The Position Licensed Practical Nurses provide general or psychiatric practical nursing care in accordance with the authorized scope of practice specified in the Nurse Practice Act. Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action. This position will be supervising LN II's. A high level of independence is required for this position. Candidate must also be reliable, have excellent communication skills, and able to apply critical thinking, assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills to be able to make quick but accurate medical decisions. LPN's must be able to work under pressure, be able to adjust to change and work well as part of a health care team.
