The Impact You Will Make
As a Licensed Counselor, you will deliver individual, group, and crisis intervention counseling to those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, promoting long-term recovery. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, creating tailored treatment plans, developing discharge strategies, and utilizing Evidence-Based Treatment Models for counseling.
- Apply evidence-based practices while incorporating relapse models, harm reduction principles, and an understanding of recovery dynamics.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to inform diagnostic impressions and guide person-centered treatment planning.
- You'll create and revise individualized treatment plans that reflect client goals, progress, and evolving needs.
- Lead individual and group counseling sessions using modalities such as CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Step in with crisis intervention when needed, offering timely support to clients in high-risk situations.
- Discharge planning will involve coordinating aftercare and connecting clients with appropriate community resources.
- Keep detailed, compliant clinical documentation that meets all organizational and regulatory standards.
- Partner with medical providers, care coordinators, and recovery specialists to ensure holistic, collaborative care.
- Strong communication and writing skills will help you engage effectively with both clients and the treatment team.
- Your contributions will help foster a supportive, team-driven environment focused on meaningful recovery outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Addiction Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Completed all post-degree licensure requirements, including at least two years of post-degree experience in behavioral sciences.
- Experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
