POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides assessments, counseling, education and referrals to patients with chemical dependency issues. Promotes rapport between patient and their families. Assists patients in identifying their psychological, personal and environmental challenges related to substance abuse in order to achieve maximum therapeutic and functional capacity. Acts as a member of multidisciplinary health teams.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or G.E.D. and two-years experience required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Licensed as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Licensure must be current at all times.
