The Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Clinical Lead is responsible for supervising a clinical team delivering Substance Use Intensive Outpatient services to clients seeking treatment for substance use and mental health disorders. This position provides counseling in a group and individual setting, as well as, supportive services in collaboration with a team to help foster a client's recovery. SAIOP facilitator will work together with an interdisciplinary team of providers, including, primary care MD's, NP's, PA's, Nurses, clinical pharmacists, psychiatric providers, medical assistants, and Behavioral Health support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the growth of provisionally licensed clinicians through providing clinical supervision, and mentorship to team of clinicians within the Behavioral Health IOP program.
- Conduct a comprehensive diagnostic interview to gather client's current mental health symptoms, history of mental health and substance use disorders, and social history to determine most appropriate DSM 5 Diagnoses, and inform the treatment plan for recovery .
- Creating individualized treatment plans reflecting client's treatment needs, strengths, and recovery goals.
- Maintain open communication and accessibility to encourage mental health integration in the clinic setting, and collaborate with patient's treatment team and providers.
- Work with a variety of patients with a wide range of co-occurring substance use and mental health diagnoses, and lived experiences.
- Provides information and referrals for counseling as appropriate to the treatment plan and client's need .
- Provide daily individual and group counseling to address the needs of clients working on substance use recovery within the care framework of the Matrix Model of Intensive Outpatient Treatment.
- Initiate client specific treatment interventions; e.g., individual, and family counseling and crisis interventions as appropriate.
- Support client's growth through difficult circumstances with an emphasis on building sense of internal locus of control.
- Document all patient interaction and referrals.
- Help clients build knowledge of their diagnoses, and symptoms, as well as personal triggers, and a plan for sustaining recovery and reducing reactivity to triggers.
- Demonstrates knowledge of clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Chart and maintain notes within 72 hours in compliance with CMS documentation standards.
- Understanding of patient privacy and treatment rights and is able to protect client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA, and 42 CFR.

Requirements
Educational Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling
- 3+ years in a Clinical Setting
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
- Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (Required)
- Experience supervising provisionally licensed behavioral health clinicians (preferred)
