  • Support San Diego users with desktop support services for all San Diego systems devices: PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
  • Audit & implementation & troubleshoot, security solutions across the Lab systems, including, OS Updates, AV, WSUS and network connectivity.
  • Support & Implementation of laboratory network including collaborating with team regarding connectivity to the firewalls, switches, and firewall modems (or any other network component).
  • Engagement with Lab and Client teams to connect Lab systems to cloud solutions
  • Manage connectivity to the lab network, including network access and firewall requests.
  • Drive systems standardization and best practice to reduce costs and align with business requirements.
  • Maintain the capability to work flexibility across a number of work areas to meet the changing needs of customers and applying appropriate day-to-day work prioritization.
  • Provide local IT & OT support to all stakeholders and facilitate the interface with Digital teams including service desk, as appropriate.
  • Support a portfolio of self-supported applications that provide key capabilities and ensure these operate at high levels of reliability and availability
  • Build and troubleshoot the lab systems when required.
  • Install vendor supplied PCs
  • Perform routine audits to check for AV state, WSUS state etc.
  • Provide hardware & software support for the laboratory systems and lab IT infrastructure
  • Support servers build & server support team with access problems to the server ILOs.
  • Maintain an inventory of lab devices.
  • OS patching and support for the Lab systems
  • Server and firewall configuration
  • Request for an experienced Windows desktop and server engineer, ideally, they would have 10+ years of experience and be able to deploy Windows servers
  • Experience of the end-to-end server build process including DHCP, RAID, backup, RDP and domain setup.
  • Some network experience, an understanding of VLANs, firewalls etc.; not an expert, conversant.
  • Have PCN / PIN (process Control Network) or ICS (Industrial Control Systems) including in DCS Systems (DeltaV) experience, desirable but not essential
