Empowering Learning requires several Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a SEN school in the Middlesbrough area
Role Details:
- Location: Middlesbrough area
- Hours: 5 days a week, 8:00 AM - 16:00 PM
- Start Date: ASAP with potential for temp to perm
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for children in the classroom.
- Assist the lead teacher with the curriculum and activities.
- Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of the children.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with personal care
- Experience of behaviours that challenge
- Support students with PMLD, ASC and SEMH
- Communicate with parents and provide updates on the child's progress.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience of supporting young children.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and passion for working with young children.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
- Basic understanding of child development principles.
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
