Service Description: Lessie Bates AmeriCorps approaches the needs of the children and families of East St. Louis, Illinois. Central to the program are Educational Advocates who will serve students and their families in a comprehensive effort to improve educational outcomes, improve their health by reducing childhood obesity, increase their technological competence, and prepare them for a technology world.
