Job Description
Burnsville/Savage law firm is looking for legal/administrative assistant (experience preferred) to work as part of a team supporting six attorneys. The job requires proficiency with all Microsoft office products including Microsoft Word, Excel and QuickBooks, strong document production experience and client-facing communication skills. The successful candidate will be a team-player with a high-level of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task as necessary in a diverse legal practice.

- Experience with basic office hardware including scanners, copies, etc.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to learn other software systems specific to private law firm practice.
- Ability to multitask, including follow-thru and follow-up.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate as part of team supporting six attorneys with organization, management and production of documents
- Reception duties to include answering incoming calls, greeting and directing clients/visitors/vendors
- Maintain office appearance and environment
- Pick up and sort through mail and other deliveries
- Create forms, spreadsheets, and document processes
- Typing/word processing (Microsoft Word)
- Voice transcription
- Maintain calendars, schedule appointments, calls and meetings
- Maintain calendars as requested; schedule appointments for conference room use and set up catering needs when necessary
- Maintain office supplies and requests
- Perform additional front desk and customer service responsibilities as assigned
- Assist the accounting department with A/P
- Assist all departments in the day-to-day activities when needed
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of QuickBooks
- Draft correspondence
- Assist with the review and filing of email correspondence
- Receive, scan, and file hard-copy correspondence
- Assist with the review and approval of invoices
- Receive, review, and scan incoming mail
- Must have a clean legal background
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience is a plus but is not required
High school education (required); college or vocational preferred
Candidate should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
Organized with a high attention to detail
Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills
Prior legal experience is a plus
JOB TYPE:
Full-time 30 - 40 hours/week (flexible)
- Monday through Thursday/Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (hours and days flexible)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Compensation commensurate with experience. $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience
