About the Role
Bursor & Fisher, P.A. is seeking a Legal Talent & Training Coordinator to support the firm's recruiting, onboarding, and attorney development initiatives. The Legal Talent & Training Coordinator will manage full-cycle recruitment, oversee onboarding logistics, support the Summer Associate Program, and maintain compliance tracking for attorney CLE and certifications. This role requires outstanding communication skills, strong organizational abilities, discretion, and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Coordination
Manage the full recruitment cycle for attorneys, staff, paralegal, and support roles.
Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and develop structured interview plans.
Draft, update, and maintain job descriptions to reflect evolving firm needs.
Screen resumes, conduct initial candidate assessments, and coordinate interview scheduling.
Manage candidate communication to ensure a timely and positive candidate experience.
Draft and extend job offers in collaboration with HR and leadership.
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
Actively source and headhunt candidates via LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruiting platforms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with law schools, universities, and specialized legal recruiting firms.
Assist in maintaining the firm's LinkedIn presence to support recruiting efforts and employer branding.
Cultivate candidate pipelines for frequently recruited roles.
Provide regular recruiting updates and insights to leadership and hiring managers.
Participate in strategic discussions regarding team structure, staffing needs, and future talent planning.
Recruiting Operations & Program Management
Post job openings on platforms and manage applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Track and report recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source of hire and other recruiting KPIs.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline the recruiting and hiring experience.
Coordinate logistics and scheduling for all interviews and recruiting activities.
Support the planning and execution of the Summer Associate Program, including onboarding, events, and evaluations.
Onboarding & Integration
- Partner with HR and Office Coordinators to facilitate smooth onboarding for all new hires.
- Prepare onboarding documents and ensure timely completion of onboarding checklists.
- Act as a primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure timely setup of technology, systems access, and workspace preparation.
Training & CLE
Track attorney CLE credits and certifications to ensure compliance with state and court requirements.
Maintain accurate records of certifications and continuing education credits.
Proactively communicate upcoming deadlines and assist attorneys with meeting compliance requirements.
Coordinate internal CLE programs and support external training initiatives as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Legal Studies, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years within a law firm or professional services environment.
Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and Simplicity.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools.
Ability to manage both high-volume and specialized recruitment efforts.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering an outstanding candidate and employee experience.
Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
