POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hybrid position - in office Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Overview:
- This role will work in the Associate Relations Practices (ARP) department supporting the ARP team and the Company's Human Resources community on various employment matters. This role will collaborate with other departments and interact with in-house and outside counsel.
Role requires candidates to have a law degree.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support administration of I-9 forms, E-Verify, and related immigration issues
- Direct subpoenas and external requests for information to the proper departments
- Facilitate communication with state labor agencies
- Conduct research on a variety of employment topics such as wage and hour laws, minor labor laws, ADA, criminal code, etc.
- Other tasks or projects, large or small, as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- Motivated self-starter with an eye for detail and excellent organization skills
- Able to work independently, or collaboratively across functional areas, as needed
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks and deadlines
- Willingness and proven ability to learn on the job
- High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
- Able to communicate legal or complex information to a client audience
- MS Word and Excel competence (including formatting, editing, sorting)
- Direct experience in HR, employment law, immigration law, or with a related government agency is preferred but not required.
