Our Client, A leading player in the power transmission and infrastructure industry is looking to hire a dynamic and experienced Legal & Compliance professional for their Mumbai office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end statutory compliance across project sites, plants, and corporate offices, while also playing a key role in managing legal risk and overseeing critical corporate contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Compliance, Risk & Contracts
- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across project sites and corporate functions.
- Track and report compliance metrics monthly, quarterly, and annually using tools like Avacom, Enforce, etc.
- Lead implementation of the Legal Risk Management Module (LRMM) with the ERM team.
- Conduct compliance committee meetings and ensure ground-level execution of resolutions.
- Identify and report legal risks to the Board; maintain non-compliance trackers and drive resolution.
- Manage internal/external audits and analyze financial exposure from non-compliance.
- Support real-time resolution of compliance tool queries for end users.
- Maintain centralized MIS and prepare reports for senior leadership and Board reviews.
- Communicate key legal/regulatory changes internally and update governance policies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts with a focus on legal risk mitigation and business alignment.
- Conduct contract risk assessments and support business with practical, cost-effective legal solutions.
Requirements
- Experience: 7-10 years of relevant legal and compliance experience in large organizations, preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing sectors.
- Education: CS or LLB / LLM
- Skills: Hands-on experience with compliance tracking software/tools
- Strong knowledge of statutory requirements and legal frameworks governing large-scale industrial or infrastructure businesses
- Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
