Paralegal / Legal Assistant - Defense Litigation
We're hiring a Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join a respected defense firm in Atlanta, GA. This is a great opportunity for legal professionals with 3-6 years of experience in medical malpractice or insurance defense litigation. ️ Practice Area: Defense Litigation / Medical Malpractice
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (Onsite)
Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 annually + full benefits package
What You'll Do:
- Support one partner with a primary focus on calendaring and case management.
- Coordinate meetings, depositions, and deadlines with precision.
- Handle non-party requests and follow-ups.
- Prepare, edit, and organize legal documents and pleadings.
- Manage case files using iManage (or similar systems).
- File documents electronically through Odyssey and other platforms.
What We're Looking For:
- 3-6 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
- Strong background in defense litigation / medical malpractice, insurance, or personal injury preferred.
- Experience with iManage, WorldDocs, or NetDocs.
- Proficiency in electronic court filing systems, especially Odyssey.
- Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail in a fast-paced legal setting.
