Position Overview We are seeking a Legal Assistant with 3 years of experience in workers' compensation. While defense-side experience is preferred, we are open to candidates with a plaintiff-side background who are eager to thrive in a collaborative and detail-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with workers' comp case management, including preparing pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- File legal documents related to workers' compensation cases with courts and agencies, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
- Schedule depositions, hearings, and appointments for workers' comp matters.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding workers' comp cases.
- Maintain organized case files for workers' comp matters and track deadlines using case management software.
- Conduct basic research and gather records as needed for workers' compensation cases.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of legal assistant experience in workers' compensation law.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
