LHH is collaborating with a well-regarded law firm in Nashville that is currently looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Paralegal to provide support to both litigation and transactional attorneys. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil defense litigation and be ready to assist in various practice areas, including civil litigation, commercial transactions, estate and business planning, tax planning, estate administration, fiduciary litigation, legal malpractice defense, and real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist litigation and transactional attorneys with drafting, filing, and organizing legal documents.

  • Manage case files, client communications, and court-related documents.

  • Aid in preparing for hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.

  • Conduct legal research as required.

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents related to civil litigation, business planning, tax planning, and more.

  • Maintain strong attention to detail and prioritize tasks across different practice areas.

  • Collaborate with attorneys on client matters and cases in a team setting.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of legal experience, with a preference for those with a background in civil defense litigation.

  • Strong experience in litigation and familiarity with civil law, commercial transactions, or estate planning is highly desirable.

  • Previous paralegal experience is preferred, as the firm plans to start billing for paralegal work.

  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic legal environment.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits:
