Legal Assistant (Employment Litigation)
Location: Encino, California
Salary: $70K to $90K per year annually, along with Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Time and Holidays, Healthcare, Dental and Vision Coverage, 401k
Position: Full-time, Onsite, Direct Hire
LHH is working with a reputable firm in seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support their busy Employment Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of legal assistant experience and possess a strong understanding of the litigation process. This is a full-time onsite position offering a competitive salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys
Interact with clients in person, over the phone, and via email
Prepare and assist with legal documents including complaints, answers, discovery, motions, agreements, and filings
Assist with research and information gathering for case and trial preparation
Conduct legal research using publications and databases to support case development
File court documents and handle government agency filings
Communicate with court officials, opposing counsel, and clients on behalf of attorneys
Assist in preparing for arbitration, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
Manage incoming/outgoing calls and mail
Draft and finalize legal correspondence and documents
Manage attorneys' calendars, schedule meetings, and maintain organized files (paper and electronic)
Provide general administrative support as needed
Job Requirements:
3+ years of legal assistant experience, ideally in employment litigation
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe
Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a proactive self-starter
Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
