LHH is recruiting a Temporary Litigation Legal Assistant for a downtown law firm. This is a part-time, 2-3 days per week, temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling the calendar of activities of attorney, including making commitments for conferences, court dates, meetings and other appointments
  • Composing and editing of correspondence, legal briefs and other related documents
  • Receiving telephone calls and visitors
  • Typing a wide variety of legal documents, opening and maintaining files
  • e-filing documents with state and federal courts
  • Assist with trial preparation

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years litigation experience
  • Typing 65 WPM or better
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficient with drafting routine letters and other documents
  • Exceptional file management skills especially electronically
  • Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience billing clients
