Responsibilities:
- Preparing, proofreading, and editing legal documents and correspondence for accuracy, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, format, and content
- Calendar management, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, meetings, and hearings
- E-filing documents with Federal and Florida State Courts
- Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing client materials and work product within our document management system
- Time entry and client billing
- Review and edit pre-bills, ensure they are ready for attorneys' review and approval
- Submission of new business intake and conflicts checks and opening/closing of client matters
- Answering telephone calls and routine questions from clients and team members, and/or routing calls to appropriate staff
- Performing administrative duties such as client file management, general correspondence, expense reports, CLE tracking, check requests, and other administrative tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of experience in a law firm setting is preferred, with a focus on litigation
- Experience with trial preparation and litigation in State and Federal courts is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to quickly learn other programs. Experience in iManage and Aderant is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong organizational and administrative skills

- Client service-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
