MHS is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Legal Assistant and Systems Analyst to support the School's Office of General Counsel with essential legal administrative tasks. This is an onsite position with an annual salary range of $56K to $74K, complemented by a generous benefits package. Reporting to the Legal Operations Manager, this role is vital to the smooth functioning of a dynamic 10-member legal team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage litigation and other legal matter files, assisting in the preparation and oversight of case files from initiation to conclusion.
  • Prepare legal documents, including litigation hold notices and other related materials.
  • Handle records and data collection, ensuring effective management and organization through departmental indexing and records systems.
  • Track and audit assignments, producing legal reports using the Navex case management software.
  • Draft and prepare reports, memos, and correspondence, including presentations for the Board.
  • Provide support for case entries utilizing the EthicsPoint case management system.
  • Coordinate and manage complex calendars efficiently.
  • Engage in extensive phone interactions and face-to-face meetings.
  • Document meeting minutes accurately.
  • Perform office administration tasks, including external counsel contracting and invoicing, as well as HRIS processing.
  • Offer general clerical and administrative assistance within the department.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Facilitate project management, financial administration, and other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in legal office administration and system support.
  • Proficient in technology, particularly Microsoft applications, legal systems, and databases.
  • Exceptional organizational and office administration skills, coupled with a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent time management skills, meeting deadlines while ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Candidates must demonstrate integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for students.
