LHH Talent Solutions is seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a law firm setting, specifically focusing on Commercial Litigation. The LAA will perform a wide range of legal administrative duties and provide comprehensive and efficient administrative and secretarial support. Please note, we are not seeking paralegals for this role.

Candidates must be adept at managing the administrative responsibilities associated with complex commercial/business litigation matters, ensuring smooth operations and effective coordination of tasks across the team. The LAA will play a crucial role in assisting with trial preparation, legal document management, e-filing, scheduling, and maintaining organized workflows for the Firms litigation team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents and correspondence for accuracy, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, format, and content.
  • Manage calendars, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, meetings, and hearings.
  • E-file documents with the Federal and Florida State Courts.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing client materials and work product within our document management system.
  • Handle time entry and client billing.
  • Review and edit pre-bills to ensure they are ready for attorneys review and approval.
  • Submit new business intake and conflicts checks, and manage the opening/closing of client matters.
  • Answer telephone calls and routine questions from clients and team members, and/or route calls to appropriate staff.
  • Perform administrative duties such as client file management, general correspondence, expense reports, CLE tracking, check requests, and other administrative tasks.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to quickly learn other programs. Experience in iManage and Aderant is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Client service-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work extra hours as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Educational/Job Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a law firm setting is preferred, with a focus on litigation.
  • Experience with trial preparation and litigation in State and Federal courts is required.
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
