We are a small White Plains law firm seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This is an in-office role supporting attorneys with a mix of legal and general administrative tasks. We offer a collegial work environment and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and filings
File legal documents with courts (electronic and paper filing)
Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and track deadlines
Answer phones, manage emails, and communicate with clients
Maintain and organize physical and electronic files
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a law firm or legal setting preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a small office
Schedule: Full-time, or part-time considered Office Hours are Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
