Job Description

AbbVie is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join its Corporate Legal Governance. This role reports to the Senior Counsel, Securities & Finance and will be responsible for providing legal support related to corporate governance, securities laws, and other regulatory matters.

This role is a hybrid work model, requiring at least three (3) days in our Lake County office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include all administrative functions such as: answering phones, calendar management, scheduling travel, and billing.
  • Responsible for review and processing of invoices and purchase orders
  • Document management in iManage, SharePoint litigation collaboration sites, and Corporate Records
  • Assist with office supply management (ordering, expensing, and maintaining inventories)
  • Oversee onboarding of new legal employees and contractors, including office setups, and offboarding responsibilities
  • Frequently handle confidential or business-sensitive information.
  • Assist with the preparation of SEC filings, including Section 16 matters.
  • Provide additional administrative support to the Corporate Legal Governance team as necessary.


Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • 1+ years previous admin experience or equivalent.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Delta View, Adobe Acrobat, Visio or OrgPlus, and Lotus Notes or Outlook and understanding of business processes and requirements
