Our dynamic law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to our operations and requires a candidate who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of the legal industry. The successful candidate will support attorneys in various aspects of litigation including discovery, compliance, and legal assistance. Job DetailsResponsibilities:
1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of the discovery process, including organizing, tracking, and managing discovery documents.
2. Ensuring all legal activities adhere to compliance requirements.
3. Providing comprehensive legal assistance, including research, drafting legal documents, and preparing case materials.
4. Managing and organizing medical records relevant to cases.
5. Scheduling and coordinating hearings, depositions, and mediations.
6. Maintaining a detailed and accurate legal calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.
7. Coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys for trials and depositions.
8. Handling e-filing of court documents and maintaining electronic files using Dropbox.
9. Assisting with trial preparations, including organizing exhibits, trial binders, and witness materials.
10. Providing bilingual communication support, if applicable.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, preferably within a personal injury practice area.
3. Proficient in legal research with a strong understanding of legal terminology.
4. Experience with the discovery process, legal compliance, and providing legal assistance.
5. Proficient in managing and organizing medical records.
6. Experience in scheduling hearings, depositions, and mediations.
7. Excellent calendaring and time management skills.
8. Experience with e-filing and the use of Dropbox for document management.
9. Ability to coordinate travel for trial and depositions.
10. Bilingual in Spanish is a significant plus.
11. Experience with trial works is highly desirable.
12. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
14. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
