LHH is looking for a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) with a minimum of three years of experience in a law firm setting, specifically in Commercial Litigation. The LAA will handle various legal administrative tasks and provide efficient administrative and secretarial support.
Please note, this position is not intended for paralegals. Candidates should be skilled in handing administrative duties related to commercial and business litigation cases. They will make sure there is seamless communication within the team. The LAA is essential in supporting trial preparation, managing legal documents, e-filings, scheduling and maintaining workflow for the litigation team. After a successful onboarding period, this role becomes hybrid.
Responsibilities: - Preparing, proofreading, and editing legal documents and correspondence for accuracy, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and content
- Calendar management, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, meetings, and hearings
- E-filing documents with Federal and Florida State Courts
- Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing client materials and work product within our document management system
- Review and edit pre-bills, ensure they are ready for attorneys' review and approval
- Submission of new business intake and conflicts checks and opening/closing of client matters
- Answering telephone calls and routine questions from clients and team members, and/or routing calls to appropriate staff
- Performing administrative duties such as client file management, general correspondence, expense reports, CLE tracking, check requests, and other administrative tasks
Requirements: - At least 3 years of experience in a law environment or law firm
- Experience with trial preparation and litigation in State and Federal courts is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Client service-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
