Legal Administrative Assistant to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $100k+ plus Bonus Position Overview: The Legal Administrative Assistant provides support to attorneys and legal professionals pertaining to all aspects of the litigation practice area. This role involves complex document production, heavy administrative functions, and client contact, requiring a high degree of administrative and technical skills. Responsibilities of the Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Prepares and proofreads standard legal documents.
- Ensures legal documents are compliant with court rules and filed properly.
- Efficiently creates, organizes, and maintains client files.
- Conducts comprehensive research.
- Acts as a liaison with courts and various litigation-related vendors.
- Assists attorneys in preparing for trial and hearing.
- Communicates with clients, witnesses, and other parties.
- Prepares and assembles materials, documents, and exhibits.
- Receives and screens telephone calls and responds to inquiries.
- Calendar management.
- Manages incoming mail and outgoing mail and properly files in case files and scans to office document management files.
Required Experience/Skills of the Legal Administrative Assistant:
- 3+ years litigation experience including superior court 9A filings, depositions/discovery, and appellate brief preparation.
- Experience working with Massachusetts Courts.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Legal Administrative Assistant:
- Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and comparison software.
- Notary public certification
Education Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher is required.
