Job Description:


The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Binghamton University (State University of New York at Binghamton) invites applications for one or more Lecturer positions. These positions would start effective Fall semester of 2025. Initial appointment is for three years with the possibility of renewal.


The successful candidates should have a strong record of excellence in teaching lower level college mathematics and statistics courses. The minimal qualification for this position is a master's degree in mathematics, though PhD (or the equivalent) in mathematics, statistics or a closely related field is preferred. The principal duties of these positions are to teach 3 courses per semester. Applications from underrepresented groups and minorities are especially welcome.

  • Master's degree in mathematics or statistics
  • At least three years of experience teaching lower-level mathematics courses

Preferred:


  • PhD in mathematics, statistics, or closely related field
  • Experience teaching courses directed to math majors
