Coding with Kids is seeking an experienced individual with a

strong educational background in teacher coaching and people management

to join our team as a Learning & Development Manager. Computer programming is not required; however, experience with STEM and technology is important.

You will be responsible for:

  • Building and scaling efficient and effective processes and systems for educator learning and development as we grow

  • Empowering our instructors with the skills and strategies needed to maximize the instructional quality of our classes

  • Managing and supporting a team of 200+ part-time instructors who live around the world

  • Facilitating a top-notch training program for all new instructor hires

  • Engaging in regular professional learning cycles with instructors to enhance instructional practices

  • Creating and nurturing a supportive culture for all instructors

  • Engaging in regular quality review observations of our classes and instructors

  • Overseeing the Instructor Team Leads and Instructor Mentor programs

The kind of person we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, with a preference for a Master's degree in Education or Business Administration

  • Experience and knowledge of best instructional practices, including differentiation of learning for students with varying needs

  • 2+ years of managing people in a supervisory role

  • Willing to drive change to produce the highest quality experience for students

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent skills in organization, communication, collaboration, and judgment

Work location:

  • Seattle HQ office

Work schedule:

  • Hybrid: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

  • Ability to drive to school sites to observe and model instruction

Compensation:

  • Salary is commensurate with level of experience.

  • Salary range: $90,000-$110,000
