LSS Program Manager

We are seeking a highly accomplished, results-driven process improvement specialist to lead development, training and an on-going continuous process improvement culture and competency across our companies. The candidate will play a key role in driving operational efficiencies through coaching, mentoring and training of the LSS methodology and other process improvement best practices across the organization. Overall leadership and responsibilities include managing program performance, analytics, training, and support systems. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who has good leadership, problem solving, and communication skills and be passionate about fostering a culture of continuous improvement to ensure on-going engagement across the organization. This full-time position is located at the Farm Bureau Financial Services corporate offices in West Des Moines, Iowa.

What You'll Do:
• Lead and manage all Lean Six Sigma portfolio of projects including the selection of projects, training and development of Green/Black belts, application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and program development initiatives and events.
• Provide coaching, support, and training to individual contributors in order to incorporate Six Sigma methodology and analytics into organizational operations, accomplish business objectives, and promote adoption and improvement of Lean Six Sigma methods and practice.
• Work with the VP Strategy, Planning, Data, Innovation to assess and develop consistent Lean Six Sigma program objectives, goals, and scope. Identify projects within the program to continually improve best practices and process improvements.
• Work with departmental leadership to plan and develop guidelines, targets, and standards used for maintaining business metrics, including the monitoring, and measuring of and reporting of all aspects of the Lean Six Sigma program deliverables and outcomes.
• Serve as the primary contact for Green/Black belts seeking clarification of methodologies and tools related to the identified projects.
• Assists individual contributors in obtaining Project Champion, Management, and Certifying organization's acceptance of completed Lean Six Sigma projects.
• Proactively manage any vendor relationship and Lean Six Sigma certifying organizations to maintain current and relevant training material and tools for the program.
What does it take to join our Farm Bureau team?
• College degree or equivalent plus 10+ years of applicable financial services or insurance related experience required.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required.
• Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma methodologies and related tools. (Excel, Minitab, PowerPoint, and other related tools)
• Must have or attain knowledge of Farm Bureau products, services, and strategies affecting project(s).
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication, planning, decision making, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Must be results oriented and able to adapt and deal with ambiguous situations and manage expectations.
• Minimal travel may be required, including overnight stays.
• Reasonably regular and predictable attendance.
