Summary

The Integrated Youth Services Collaboration Centre (IYS-CC) is a new and unique initiative launched by Providence Health Care in partnership with the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH) and in collaboration with Integrated Youth Services initiatives in Canada. The IYS-CC, while closely affiliated with Foundry, is an independent initiative and its activities are coordinated with a CAMH team of professionals.

We are seeking a Leader, Knowledge Exchange & Mobilization, who will be responsible for leading the knowledge exchange and mobilization (KEMb) program and IYS workforce development at the IYS-CC. Reporting to the Pan-Canadian Director, the Leader will:

  1. Provide leadership and expertise in the development, project management, and implementation of the KEMb program and workforce education and training program, supporting the ongoing growth of the IYS model across Canada, with the primary goal of improving health and social outcomes for youth and young adults accessing integrated youth services.
  2. Ensure that specific KEMb projects and initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, objectives, and priorities.
  3. Lead the identification of knowledge and workforce training needs and the delivery and implementation of evidence-based and wise practices for IYS for the pan-Canadian audiences including policy makers, planners, clinicians, peer support workers, youth, and families.
  4. Engage in the development of evidence-informed knowledge products that can be used and delivered through various mediums (e.g., paper-based, multimedia) and communication channels such as policies, procedures, education and training programs, online instructional services supporting the delivery of integrated care for youth and young adults.
What You Bring

Education, Training and Experience: Master's degree in health sciences, social sciences, health research, communications, policy, or related field plus five (5) to seven (7) years of recent, related experience including knowledge exchange and mobilization, education and training program delivery, leadership, project management, and stakeholder collaboration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of knowledge exchange and mobilization approaches (e.g., networking, product development, engagement activities, dissemination, co-production, evaluation).
  • Ability to design, facilitate, and evaluate knowledge sharing events such as stakeholder meetings, webinars, community forums, and other engagement activities.
  • Proven success in knowledge mobilization project delivery and project management methods.
  • Experience developing and implementing comprehensive education and training programs aligned with adult learning principles.
  • Ability to deliver education and training through multiple modalities, including in-person, online, self-paced, and group-based formats.
  • Knowledge of content design, delivery, and evaluation of learning modules/programs.
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration, change management, and work independently or within a team.
  • Research skills to incorporate clinical best practices into knowledge exchange products.
  • Ability to synthesize stakeholder information for online content design and communication.
  • Familiarity with online learning and knowledge exchange platforms.
  • Teaching and coaching abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, including report writing and presentations; plain language writing is an asset.
  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to support effective service delivery.
  • Interpersonal and dispute-resolution skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills for complex systems impacting youth.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritizing workload in a complex environment.
  • Knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, UNDRIP, and cultural safety and humility principles.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
  • Physical capacity to perform job duties.
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) is an asset.

Your Day to Day

Responsibilities include providing leadership in developing, managing, and implementing the IYS-CC network, knowledge exchange and mobilization programs, and workforce training strategies. This involves leveraging resources, developing knowledge products, leading engagement activities, managing budgets, and providing staff leadership. Additional duties include planning special projects and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
