Job Title: Lead Technical Architect - Model-Based Enterprise

Location: East Hartford, CT (Onsite)

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders only (due to export control and data compliance requirements)


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical Architect with expertise in Model-Based Design (MBD) to join our team supporting a Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) initiative. This role requires hands-on experience architecting enterprise-level systems in an Agile environment, with strong domain knowledge in model-based systems engineering, data integration, and digital thread concepts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, technical architecture, and experience with CAMEO, NX, PLM, and Teamcenter tools, and will play a key role in driving the digital transformation of enterprise product development and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit technical and functional requirements.
  • Translate business goals into system architecture specifications and blueprints.

2. Solution Design

  • Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable frameworks for data connectivity and storage.
  • Define workflows for data processing, transformation, and validation.
  • Identify and define integration points with enterprise systems (PLM, Teamcenter, etc.).
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including architecture and workflow diagrams.

3. Technology Evaluation & Selection

  • Assess current technology landscape and identify areas of improvement.
  • Recommend and justify technology choices aligned with compliance and business needs.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise IT standards and architecture.

4. Development & Testing

  • Support development teams in implementing the architectural framework.
  • Assist in building and validating data ingestion pipelines, system integrations, and related components.

5. Documentation & Training

  • Produce detailed architecture documentation, user guides, and technical manuals.
  • Conduct training sessions for technical teams and end-users to ensure adoption and long-term usability.

6. Deployment & Support

  • Lead deployment planning and coordinate rollout activities.
  • Provide post-deployment support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder (must-have due to export control restrictions)
  • Proven experience in technical architecture, systems engineering, or related roles
  • Deep understanding of Model-Based Design (MBD) and Digital Thread concepts
  • Proficiency in MBD tools such as CAMEO, NX, PLM, and Teamcenter
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with secure, scalable system design and enterprise integrations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing industries
  • Familiarity with export control regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with APIs, ETL pipelines, and enterprise data frameworks
