This position is focused on leading the development of Honeywell's Electric Power Generators and Motors. The main responsibilities include providing expertise as a team member or team leader for various Engineering tasks, such as data identification and processing, technical documentation, and program or project Facilitate. The role also involves leading small project subtask teams to ensure compliance and successful completion of engineering efforts, as well as planning cross-functional activities to improve work processes and procedures. Mentoring junior engineers is also a key aspect of the position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering effort to design electric generators and motors for the aerospace industry, coordinating electromagnetic thoughtfulness, mechanical design, electrical design, and test efforts to develop and qualify products.
  • Act as the focal point for system-level integration efforts, ensuring effective integration of the machine into the larger system. Work with internal Honeywell groups and customers.
  • Serve as the primary customer communication focal for addressing technical questions and providing expertise on mechanical aspects.
  • Guide the Validation and Verification Activities of electric generators and motors, including creating compliance matrices and verification methodologies.
  • Develop comprehensive plans for research, development, and qualification testing related to electric machine development programs, incorporating mechanical engineering ethics. - Facilitate new business proposal activities, leveraging mechanical insights to inform design strategies.
  • Assist in fielded product Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities, applying mechanical knowledge to determine failure causes and implement corrective actions.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

The annual base salary range for this position is $141000 - $177000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Engineering, with a strong emphasis on mechanical design and thoughtfulness.
WE VALUE
  • Experience in the design and thoughtfulness of high-speed electric motors and generators, with a solid insight into mechanical and rotational electrical machines.
  • Proven experience guiding the technical effort for development programs, specifically in integrating mechanical thoughtfulness.
  • Proficiency in preparing requirements specifications, technical reports, technical proposals, trade studies, and relevant presentations, with a focus on mechanical engineering as it pertains to electric machines.
  • Familiarity with military and commercial aircraft specifications, particularly from a mechanical perspective.
  • Mechanical engineering background
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities, with the ability to analyze mechanical failures effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment, demonstrating adaptability in technical approaches.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying intricate mechanical and electrical concepts clearly to various audiences.
  • A self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision, consistently taking the initiative to achieve project objectives.
