Responsibilities As our Lead Subject Matter Expert in Infrared, you will:
- Provide expert support to customer teams and vendors in the development and testing of cutting-edge infrared systems.
- Travel to vendor facilities to oversee and guide infrared development projects, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Utilize customer-provided software to conduct infrared modeling and simulation.
- Apply rigorous analysis methodologies for validating infrared designs and analytical methods.
- Work alongside government personnel to prioritize project deliverables based on customer needs.
- Embrace leading-edge technologies, including software and computational methods, to enhance project outcomes.
- Thrive in collaborative and independent environments, adapting to evolving customer requirements.
Qualifications Required Skills/Experience: - A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Professional experience in the development of remote sensing technologies and their principles.
- Understanding of infrared system development, testing, and analysis.
- Knowledge of optics and optical train characterization.
- Strong communication and analytical skills; proficient in relevant computer systems and modeling tools.
Desired Skills/Credentials: - Experience in radiometry, optics, and calibration of infrared systems.
- Aptitude for learning new software and computational methods.
- Proficient in data analysis, uncertainty quantification, and statistical methods.
- Expertise in modeling and simulation, including system scenario development.
- Experience with flight testing of aircraft systems and sensor testing.
- Familiarity with computer vision, machine learning, and emerging computational methodologies.
- Knowledgeable in implementing best practices for open systems architecture.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, computer science, information technology, data sciences, or physics is required; a Master's degree is preferred, especially in optics, radiometry, or signals and systems.
Travel: Travel up to 20% may be required for this position.
Clearance Requirements: An active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
