Job Description: We are seeking a strategic and technically adept
AVP - Data & Cloud Transformation to lead and drive data modernization and cloud transformation initiatives for enterprise customers. This senior role combines technical depth, strategic thinking, and leadership to influence client decision-making, guide cloud and data strategies, and spearhead execution.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Vision & Client Engagement- Lead the development and execution of data and cloud transformation strategies.
- Engage directly with CXOs, Directors, and senior decision-makers to identify data challenges and map transformation roadmaps.
- Deliver business cases and detailed strategies outlining measurable value, timelines, and technical approaches.
Pre-Sales Leadership- Conduct workshops, solution presentations, and client discussions.
- Support the sales team in generating leads, responding to RFPs, and developing proposals.
- Build and tailor proposals using cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and scientists.
Technical Expertise- Provide thought leadership on data engineering, data lakes, cloud migration, and cloud-native technologies.
- Hands-on support with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Stay updated with technology trends and contribute to content creation such as whitepapers and pitch decks.
Internal Collaboration- Collaborate across departments to align delivery expectations and client needs.
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate internal knowledge-sharing.
- Recommend improvements to processes and tools related to cloud and data services.
Customer Relationship Management- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify upselling opportunities aligned with evolving customer needs.
- Serve as the technical escalation point during and after project execution.
Metrics & Reporting- Define KPIs for transformation success.
- Provide regular progress reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum 8+ years in Data Engineering (Databricks, Snowflake, Python, SQL).
- Proven success in cloud transformation (AWS & Azure), modernization, and solution architecture.
- Strong pre-sales experience and customer engagement history.
- Hands-on technical leadership experience with the ability to engage both strategically and tactically.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with senior client stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
