Leidos National Security Sector, Decision Advantage Business Area, Office of Technology, is seeking a
Lead Solutions Architect to develop ground-breaking solutions that address rapidly evolving threats and meet customer needs in the DoD and mission partner space capabilities arena. This role emphasizes designing and integrating advanced systems in
Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3), cyber technology, electronic warfare, digital infrastructure, mission planning (MP), and command and control (C2) systems, focusing particularly on software-based solutions.
In this important role, you will engage closely with the
U.S. Air Force, focusing on collaboration with the
Information Dominance Systems Center and
AFLCMC/HB, to influence the Air Force's contributions to
Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2)-a groundbreaking warfighting concept that connects sensors and shooters globally.
The ideal candidate will collaborate across the
Decision Advantage Business Area and partner with senior leaders throughout the
Leidos enterprise (including National Security, Defense Systems, and Health & Civil sectors) to pursue, win, and execute mission-critical programs leveraging diverse enterprise-wide capabilities.
This is a hybrid position (75% telework and 25% onsite) with a preferred base location of Reston, VA; Arlington, VA; Huntsville, AL; San Diego/La Jolla, CA; Denver/Aurora, CO; Dayton, OH; or Orlando, FL. The selected candidate will also be expected to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop innovative Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) solutions that support defense and mission partner initiatives, driving progress towards Combined/Joint All-Domain C2 objectives. Help transform a broad strategic vision into an agile execution plan while prioritizing and executing various efforts for the near, mid, and long-term.
- Engage in strategy formulation and updates with a focus on aligning actions with strategy implementation.
- Create highly innovative solutions by integrating diverse capabilities, from data integration to MP & C2 systems, and from mid-TRL capabilities to operational sustainment for national security applications.
- Collaborate with technical staff and Business Development teams to understand customer needs; lead the development of solutions that influence strategic project/program goals and business outcomes.
- Lead technical execution across a combination of customer- and internally-funded programs and projects.
- Build consensus across organizations for solutions that advance current practices toward acceptance of new methodologies and approaches.
Basic Qualifications: - Master's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated success in a technical leadership role to transition a strategic vision into an action plan, with measurable business impact.
- Experience developing and evolving strategy to align with customer, corporate, and mission objectives.
- Ability to form strategic industry and international partnerships that collectively address complex customer missions.
- Experience working with or supporting U.S. Air Force organizations, particularly AFLCMC/HB.
- Broad understanding of BMC3 systems, JADC2, and related DoD frameworks, including relevant systems and customer roles.
- Experience with classified command and control systems and engagement with classified customers.
- Expertise in leading the creation of innovative solutions for major capture and proposal efforts, balancing against cost, schedule, functionality, quality, and other business factors.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in business development and capture efforts in an architect or related role.
- Successful track record in creating white papers, proposals, and briefings to highlight organizational thought leadership.
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain one, including eligibility for Special Access Programs.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, edge computing, and advanced analytics.
- Direct support or collaboration experience with JADC2 efforts.
- Preference for recent experience with key customers/programs, including AFLCMC/PEO digital and PEO Mission Command.
- Experience designing and delivering solutions across multiple operational domains.
- Knowledge of transitioning programs from capture/proposal to execution.
- Familiarity with secured data, including multi-level classified data.

The Leidos pay range for this role is $148,850.00 - $269,075.00. This range is a general guideline and does not guarantee compensation.
