The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) in the Leidos National Security Sector is excited to welcome a skilled Solution Architect to our growing cyber security program. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development, integration, delivery, and management of IT security services that ensure robust cybersecurity monitoring and threat awareness for critical government systems. This position is in anticipation of a future contract award.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions.
  • Utilize your deep understanding of cloud technologies, software architecture, and business processes to collaborate with cross-functional teams in developing high-performance solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Define the technical vision and ensure seamless system integration, providing thought leadership to drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Oversee technical planning, hardware-software-network design, development, integration, validation, and deployment.
  • Analyze and evaluate alternatives, considering cost, risk, and supportability for total systems.
  • Conduct systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, and quality assurance activities.
  • Provide high-level technical guidance that impacts strategic client outcomes and supports Leidos business objectives.
  • Drive the development of new solutions, processes, and standards that position Leidos competitively in the market.
  • Mentor and lead teams on large, complex projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Develop architecture diagrams and roadmaps that clearly communicate system components, data flows, and integration points.
  • Select appropriate technologies and frameworks to optimize solution effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
  • Advise and guide development teams throughout implementation with best practices and technical insights.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards through architectural reviews and governance processes.
  • Design cloud-native and hybrid solutions utilizing AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other platforms.
  • Implement best practices in cloud architecture to guarantee high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Define infrastructure requirements and manage deployment strategies while ensuring security for cloud-based applications.
  • Architect API-led integration strategies to facilitate seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Define governance standards for API design, security, and documentation.
  • Evaluate and implement middleware solutions for enterprise integration efforts.
  • Ensure that all solutions comply with security best practices and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Establish and enforce security policies across applications, networks, and data layers.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance solution designs.
  • Continuously assess existing solutions for optimization opportunities and provide recommendations for improvements.
What You Need to Join Us:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Master's degree with 15 to 20 years of relevant experience or Doctorate with 13 to 16 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong understanding of DoD IT security protocols and requirements.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Experience with API design, RESTful services, and enterprise integration methods.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks.

Pay Range: $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this position is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing the final offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity, among other elements.
