Software Lead / Scrum Master

Are you ready to lead cutting-edge simulation software projects that directly support mission-critical training and readiness?

We're looking for a Software Lead / Scrum Master to guide a dynamic team developing complex simulator systems. In this role, you'll coordinate agile software efforts across multiple subsystems-driving delivery, documentation, and technical collaboration across a team of 20+ engineers. The tech is exciting, the mission is impactful, and your leadership will make all the difference.

What You'll Do
  • Lead sprint planning, agile execution, and delivery for high-fidelity helicopter simulators.
  • Oversee 5-15 developers (currently expanded to 25 during a key program phase).
  • Facilitate documentation and validation of software components and system architecture.
  • Support and review junior engineers' work-hands-on enough to advise, but strategic enough to lead.
  • Coordinate across 6 software subteams to ensure code quality, documentation alignment, and timeline adherence.
  • Collaborate with program management to support milestones, reporting, and stakeholder expectations.
What You Bring
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field - or equivalent hands-on experience (4+ years in lieu of education).
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Software Lead, or Agile Software Manager.
  • Solid understanding of software systems architecture and software development lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with version control (Bitbucket), pipelines (Bamboo), and specification tracking tools.
  • Strong communication skills to align technical teams, lead stand-ups, and report on program progress.
