Lead Software Engineer - Private Markets Data Engineering
About this role
This role is within Preqin, part of BlackRock. Preqin specializes in private markets data and technology, enhancing our Aladdin platform to deliver comprehensive investment solutions globally.
As part of the Private Markets Data Engineering team, you will collaborate with Product and other teams to develop technology that supports data collection and management of Private Markets entities, ensuring data consistency and accurate labeling.
The systems you develop are vital for Aladdin and Preqin's success, aiming to increase transparency in alternative assets and enable better decision-making in the finance community. You will also explore AI and other advancements to improve data accuracy, timeliness, and research efficiency.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate across teams to build data management solutions that enable quick delivery of high-quality data.
- Deliver enterprise-grade software solutions.
- Promote software quality through best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in processes and skills.
- Proactively seek optimal technological solutions through collaboration.
You are a good fit if:
- You have strong full-stack technical skills: C and .NET Core, Python, React.js, and Postgres, with AWS experience.
- You have experience with complex, data-centric systems.
- You understand infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, and Kubernetes.
- You are curious, eager to learn, and possess a growth mindset.
- You understand the importance of customer and problem understanding to leverage your technical skills effectively.
- You are passionate about enhancing engineering teams' capacity through collaboration, tooling, and modular services.
