To support our rapid growth and technological evolution, we are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our expanding IT team.

Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the organization's service architecture, responsible for the performance and scalability of mission critical services. You will be joining a team of ambitious engineers, product managers and data scientists. As a technical owner, your portfolio will include RESTful APIs, data streaming and rules engines spread across multiple microservices.
Your contributions will play a key role in our ongoing tech modernization. To achieve success in this role, you will need to bring an understanding of big data and AI, experience in healthcare technology and an understanding of how to keep our products HIPAA compliant. Your technical acumen is surpassed only by your ability to take complex concepts and distill them into easy-to-understand architecture diagrams and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead API and data streaming service development for multiple TAG brands.
  • Build new and optimize existing systems, ensuring reusability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Drive technical direction, setting standards for design patterns, code quality, and testing practices.
  • Partner with engineering managers to refine processes, focusing on both technical and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in code reviews and encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices, introducing innovative solutions to drive team and project success.
Experience
  • 10 years building software for large scale systems, leading engineers for at least 5 years.
  • Proven expertise in building RESTful APIs in languages such as Python, Golang, C
  • Solid understanding of backend integration, specifically RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, specifically MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Deep experience with cloud hosted services in AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, with hands-on experience in a Kubernetes environment.
  • Experience incorporating AI models into existing software
  • Strong foundation in security best practices, HIPAA compliance and securing data in transit and rest.

Compensation: $167,000-$200,000 annually
