Lead Software Engineer

Job site address: 1221 South Mopac Expressway, Suite 400, Austin, TX 78746 (Hybrid: 3 days/week at office; no commuting cost assistance) QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or a foreign equivalency - Minimum 5 years of experience in software development as a software engineer or any related job title. - Minimum 5 years of experience with using one or more of the following: Node.js, Java, Python, JavaScript, C or Golang. - Minimum 3 years of experience in technical architecture, solution/application architecture, application development, or middleware design. - Minimum 3 years of experience in leading a software development team in the delivery of complex and challenging software solutions. - Minimum 3 years of experience with multiple database technologies such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, or Cassandra. - Minimum 2 years of experience building microservice or SOA architectures using SOAP or REST/GraphQL - Any experience designing for large-scale, highly available, fault-tolerant transactional and analytical systems in a dynamic environment. - Hybrid work allowed: Required to work 3 days a week at the office located at 1221 South Mopac Expressway, Suite 400, Austin, TX 78746. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - On-time delivery of software solutions fully aligned to business and technical requirements. - Design, document and deliver well-thought-out solutions as part of our microservice architecture in partnership with the Product Team. - Mentor, coach, and delegate work to a team of developers and QA engineers. - Drive automation into test, documentation, and the build process. - Work closely with cross-functional project teams to develop new or additional functionality. - Maintain velocity while minimizing defects. - Establish a test-driven culture. - Hybrid work allowed: Required to work 3 days per week at office located at 1221 South Mopac Expressway, Suite 400, Austin, TX 78746.
