In this exciting role, you will provide essential scheduling leadership and contribute to pivotal programs and associated portfolios. This position is based at our Mid-City campus in Huntsville, Alabama, where you will collaborate with production leads, Integrated Product Teams, key stakeholders, and an EVMS support team to enhance program planning and execution while ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and company policies.
As a Senior Program Scheduler, you will play a key role in the enterprise-wide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE), leading critical scheduling, planning, and EVM responsibilities, along with training and analysis for the company.
Key Responsibilities - Develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related documentation in line with EVM standards and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with the EVM COE's mission.
- Utilize advanced project scheduling techniques, particularly with Microsoft Project, and apply your Earned Value Management knowledge.
- Align resource time phasing and plans with the IMS to establish an integrated technical, schedule, and resource/cost baseline.
- Generate what-if scenarios within the schedule for program leadership insights.
- Support new business proposals with scheduling expertise.
- Lead scheduling efforts in identifying and resolving program issues.
- Implement best practices and scheduling rhythms for program execution.
- Create scheduling documents that fulfill contractual requirements.
- Oversee performance analysis against baseline schedules to meet contractual, cost, and schedule goals.
- Provide scheduling support for audits and reviews, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Basic Qualifications - A BA degree and 8 - 12 years of relevant experience within DOD as a Prime Contractor.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project scheduling software is mandatory.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Deep understanding of advanced scheduling theory, including:
- Schedule status assessment processes.
- Schedule health evaluations.
- Resource loading/management techniques.
- Cost and schedule integration methodologies.
- Baseline change control procedures.
- Familiarity with schedule execution metrics (e.g., BEI, CEI, CPLI, SV, SPI).
- Schedule Risk Assessments and Monte Carlo Analysis tools.
- Critical Path Method (CPM) and float management skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Background in a Manufacturing/Production/Prototyping environment.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) tools for Microsoft Project.
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Scheduling Professional (SP) certification is a plus.
- Experience with Milestones Professional.
- Proficiency in using MS Project Macros.
