Cox Automotive is seeking an experienced Lead Release Train Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a crucial leader, you will guide large and intricate Agile Release Trains (ART) to success, masterfully managing the complexities of delivering software solutions across diverse environments.
Your role will focus on problem-solving and achieving outcomes. You will be responsible for resolving impediments, managing risks, ensuring value delivery, and promoting continuous improvement at the program level. As a vital connector between various scrum teams, you will facilitate communication, streamline information flow, and provide essential progress updates that keep all ART teams aligned and focused on successful delivery.
What You'll Do: - Oversee release trains that are strategically important to our business with complex scopes and inter-dependencies.
- Facilitate ceremonies and manage work for the Release Train Team and associated delivery teams.
- Coordinate release planning, stakeholder communication, and feature delivery preparations.
- Manage the backlog and maintain ALM tool data integrity for accurate reporting, including metrics and KPIs.
- Coordinate major feature releases and ensure continual value delivery to customers across multiple teams.
- Identify, resolve, and report a variety of issues while managing dependencies and risks across different ARTs and delivery teams.
- Leverage agile metrics and regular ceremonies to drive continuous improvement and enhance organizational performance.
- Engage in the RTE and SM Community of Practice to maintain alignment, share techniques, and improve practices.
- Collaborate with the RTE and SM community to improve cross-train coordination and collaboration.
- Apply agile principles with a pragmatic approach focused on stakeholder management.
Who You Are: Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer.
- Prior experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Project/Program Manager.
- Strong technical aptitude with a proven track record of delivering quality software.
- Experience with ALM tools; familiarity with Rally or Targetprocess is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in leveraging and interpreting agile metrics.
- Ability to facilitate large planning and solutioning sessions effectively.
- Understanding of Agile at scale methodologies.
- Experience with Organizational Change Management practices.
- Knowledge of Scrum, XP, Kanban, or Agile at scale practices in an Agile organization.
The compensation for this position ranges from USD 99,000.00 to 165,000.00 per year, depending on location, skills, and qualifications. Additional compensation may include participation in an incentive program.
