General Description:

Under general supervision, provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of OU Health and will collaborate with case management and social services to identify patient's readiness for another level of care or to plan interventional strategies.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze practices that contribute to positive and negative variances
  • Identify internal and external barriers for problem resolution
  • Assure collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, healthcare providers and patient/family for the plan of care
  • Monitor and set goals for core measure targets/trends for effective patient outcomes

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:


Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.


Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in the area of specialization or education.


License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Some computer skills.
