Job Description:
We are currently looking for an experienced engineer to join us as a Lead Engineer in an engineering integration team that delivers a Durability, Robustness, and Towing Customer Experience. The team sits in Vehicle Engineering and is responsible for the confidence we have in the whole vehicle, for the length of its life, wherever they go in the world.
This role aims to enhance the customer experience through the design, development, measurement, and balance of customer attributes for our client's vehicles. You will take the lead on Project Managing vehicle programs and/or technology projects, covering the entire vehicle development lifecycle from benchmarking, designing solutions, through virtual/physical verification/validation phases, to Job delivery. The ideal candidate will have automotive sector experience, enthusiasm for technology, and a desire to learn and apply new knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Project Manage Vehicle or Technology Programmes.
- Develop detailed strategies and delivery plans for attributes using CAE, RLD, rig, and/or driven DV activities with status reporting.
- Produce solutions for projects, applying technical expertise to incorporate new knowledge into foundation knowledge and vehicle programs.
- Work with system and component teams to define and maintain cascaded target requirements supporting overall vehicle targets.
- Collaborate with Component Engineers and suppliers to drive implementation and resolve engineering issues.
- Research concepts using complex modeling to evaluate new developments and innovations for feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Deliver technical recommendations and reports.
- Conduct benchmarking to identify best practices, industry trends, and future directions.
- Lead Subject Matter Expert groups to produce solutions for projects.
- Support the Programme Team in resolving all technical issues.
- Share knowledge, experiences, and innovations within a forward-thinking team.

Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of Durability and Strength principles.
- Experience in Project Management of engineering tests.
- Problem-solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis and DoE.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering Principles.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering.
