Lead Principal Software Engineer - Data Platform

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and construct a next-generation data platform for both product and internal applications.
  • Architect solutions for batch and streaming, with scalability, fault tolerance, and low latency in mind.
  • Lead data modeling, warehousing, governance, and ingestion best practices.
  • Promote engineering excellence and mentor senior engineers.
  • Ensure alignment of technical decisions with the broader business strategy.
  • Optimize performance, cost, and resilience in a modern cloud environment.
What We're Looking For:
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering or platform architecture.
  • 5+ years in a Principal Engineer role or equivalent capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kafka (and its ecosystem) and streaming data systems.
  • Strong background with ClickHouse, Iceberg, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
  • Expertise in cloud-native architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proven experience designing data systems for compliance and governance.
  • Track record of scaling systems to manage petabyte-level workloads.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
  • Bonus: Experience in enabling AI/ML platforms or preparing for IPO-scale growth.
