Your Key Responsibilities: - Design and construct a next-generation data platform for both product and internal applications.
- Architect solutions for batch and streaming, with scalability, fault tolerance, and low latency in mind.
- Lead data modeling, warehousing, governance, and ingestion best practices.
- Promote engineering excellence and mentor senior engineers.
- Ensure alignment of technical decisions with the broader business strategy.
- Optimize performance, cost, and resilience in a modern cloud environment.
What We're Looking For: - 8+ years of experience in data engineering or platform architecture.
- 5+ years in a Principal Engineer role or equivalent capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of Kafka (and its ecosystem) and streaming data systems.
- Strong background with ClickHouse, Iceberg, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
- Expertise in cloud-native architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proven experience designing data systems for compliance and governance.
- Track record of scaling systems to manage petabyte-level workloads.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Bonus: Experience in enabling AI/ML platforms or preparing for IPO-scale growth.
